A lady on stilts walks up to Jerk centre’s Jerk Sauce Stand, her head towering high over the canopy. She looks down at Elka and says,

Suddenly, a bottle of Badman Sauce on the counter starts rattling, clears its throat, and yells all the way up to her:

“Cho, structural woman! you tink you’re the only one who’s head and shoulders above the rest? You is mad, my scotch bonnet an flavour is about to take your taste buds on a high flight, and trust me I will make you feel irie!” ♥️
The stilt walker laughs and says, “Wow he really has a way with words!” 🔥

Taste of the Caribbean at Wimbledon Park
What an unforgettable experience Taste of the Caribbean at Wimbledon Park turned out to be! The music, the laughter, the incredible aromas of Caribbean cooking and the wonderful atmosphere made it a day bursting with energy, colour and culture. For Jerk Centre, it was another exciting milestone in our journey, taking our award-winning Jamaican sauces beyond Lincolnshire and introducing them to a whole new audience.
We met so many lovely people who stopped to chat, share stories, sample our sauces and discover the flavours behind Taste From the Ancestors, Duppy Conqueror, Badman Sauce and Yardie Drizzle. There is something truly magical about watching someone’s expression change from curiosity to absolute delight after that first taste! And, of course, there were plenty of brave souls willing to take on our fiery Badman Sauce! Every smile, every laugh and every bottle sold made the long journey worthwhile. ❤️💛💚
Extraordinary visitor on stilts
But one of the most hilarious highlights of the day had to be our rather extraordinary visitor on stilts! Towering high above our gazebo, she certainly wasn’t your average customer, and naturally, our mischievous Badman Sauce couldn’t resist making his presence felt! 😂🔥 What followed was a wonderfully cheeky encounter involving towering heights, fiery Jamaican attitude and a bottle with a personality almost as big as its Scotch Bonnet kick! It was one of those spontaneous moments that perfectly captured the spirit of the festival: laughter, connection and a shared love of Caribbean culture.
We even turned the encounter into a little TikTok adventure, giving Badman Sauce the opportunity to show off his larger-than-life personality! Looking back, it’s moments like these that mean the most to us. Yes, we’re passionate about making delicious Jamaican sauces, but we’re equally passionate about bringing people together, creating memories and spreading a little happiness wherever Jerk Centre goes. After all, life is far too short for boring food or boring adventures! 🇯🇲🌶️❤️
