Jerk Beef Burgers – Juicy Caribbean Burgers with Spicy Jerk Flavour
These Jerk Beef Burgers are juicy, bold and full of Caribbean character. The beef patties are seasoned with jerk sauce, herbs and spices, then grilled until caramelised and served in soft buns with salad, cheese, slaw or your favourite toppings.

This is a brilliant recipe for BBQs, family dinners or casual weekend food. The jerk flavour lifts the burger beautifully, giving it warmth, spice and a delicious island-inspired finish.

Chef’s Tips
Use beef mince with some fat for the juiciest burgers. Avoid pressing the patties while cooking, as this pushes out the juices.
Toast the buns for better texture and flavour.

Best Jerk Centre Sauce to Use
Taste From the Ancestors for a milder family burger, or Duppy Conqueror for more heat.

Instructions

  1. Place the beef mince in a bowl with jerk sauce, onion, garlic, black pepper, smoked paprika, thyme and salt.
  2. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Shape into 4 burger patties.
  4. Chill for 20 minutes to help the burgers hold their shape.
  5. Heat a grill, barbecue or frying pan.
  6. Cook the burgers for 5 to 6 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  7. Add cheese during the final minute if using.
  8. Serve in buns with salad, slaw and extra jerk sauce.

Ingredients

600g beef mince
1½ tablespoons Jerk Centre Taste From the Ancestors or Duppy Conqueror
1 small onion, finely grated
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon thyme
Salt to taste
4 burger buns
Lettuce, tomato and red onion
Cheese slices, optional
Coleslaw, optional
