Jerk Passion Fruit Martini

The Jerk Passion Fruit Martini is a bold, tropical cocktail with a fiery Caribbean twist. Sweet passion fruit, sharp lime and smooth vodka come together to create a bright, refreshing drink, while a tiny touch of Jerk Centre jerk sauce adds warmth, depth and a little island fire.

This cocktail is fruity, elegant and exciting, with the passion fruit bringing sunshine sweetness and the jerk sauce giving a subtle spicy finish. It is perfect for date nights, summer parties, BBQs, Caribbean food nights or whenever you want to serve something colourful, vibrant and a little different.

Chef’s Tips:
Use fresh passion fruit where possible for the best tropical flavour. If using passion fruit purée, reduce the syrup slightly so the cocktail does not become too sweet.
Start with a very small amount of jerk sauce. The aim is to add warmth and character, not overpower the drink.
Vanilla vodka works beautifully because it softens the sharpness of the lime and pairs well with the passion fruit.
Always use fresh lime juice for a cleaner, brighter flavour.
For an extra special finish, rim half the glass with a light chilli-sugar mix.

Instructions

  • Chill your martini glass in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes before serving.
  • Scoop the passion fruit pulp into a cocktail shaker.
  • Add the vodka, passion fruit liqueur, fresh lime juice, syrup and a tiny touch of Jerk Centre jerk sauce.
  • Fill the shaker with plenty of ice.
  • Shake hard for 15–20 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
  • Taste the cocktail. Add a little more syrup if you want it sweeter, more lime if you want it sharper, or the tiniest extra touch of jerk sauce if you want more heat.
  • Fine strain into the chilled martini glass for a smooth finish.
  • Garnish with half a passion fruit floating on top.
  • Serve immediately while cold. For a classic passion fruit martini-style serve, add a small shot of prosecco or sparkling wine on the side.

50 ml vanilla vodka or plain vodka
25 ml passion fruit liqueur
1 fresh passion fruit, pulp scooped out
20 ml fresh lime juice
15 ml sugar syrup or vanilla syrup
1/4 teaspoon Jerk Centre jerk sauce, or a tiny dash to taste
Ice
Half a passion fruit, to garnish
Optional: prosecco or sparkling wine, to serve on the side
